Welcome to my Digital Gallery, if you have visited this site before you will notice the introduction of some changes to the site and the way it works. The site has been modified to display larger images and the catagories have been reduced to three collections; Abstract, Digital Collage and Cultures & Countries. My aim is to produce an interesting and vibrant site that contains a range of images from a variety of locations. THE COLLECTION Abstraction examines fundamental elements of the world around us, often by isolating elements from familiar structures and presenting them in a new context. Digital Collage explores digital manipulation and photographic collage. The images are all digital constructions which contain varying degrees of manipulation. Cultures& Countries combines images drawn from observations of the elements that are often specific to different cultures and photographs of landscapes and structures from a variety of countries. This section also contains images of people and place drawn from a visit to india in 2007. Current Exhibitions These contain images from our recent trip to Australia and Mauritius. Further images from both can be seen by accessing my Flickr account by cutting and pasting the following addresses; http://www.flickr.com/photos/76680070@N08/sets/72157629317448159/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/76680070@N08/sets/72157629318542915/ |

THE TRAVEL EXHIBITIONS The first exhibition comes from a trip to the Dominican Republic in 2011, highlighting the vibrant colours of both the island and its culture. The second exhibition follows trips to Lisbon & Madeira providing differing views of Portuguese culture, buildings and landscape The third exhibition features images from visits to Florida, Wisconsin & Mexico. Florida is a flat featureless place with little character and a challenge to create interesting images, Wisconsin was very different with more colour and variety of scenery. If you would like to comment on the site or offer views on the work in general, your observations are most welcome. Please e-mail your comments on the site to: keith.appleby01@btinternet.com |
